Athletistic/Hockey. International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) President Luc Tardif has announced the expected date for a decision in the case of goalkeeper Ivan Fedotov and his contract. The final verdict will be given on Monday August 14, according to the head of the organization.
“The IIHF will issue a statement on the Fedotov issue on Monday,” Tardif told TASS.
Recall that in early July, CSKA Moscow announced the conclusion of a contract with Fedotov. However, in June, the Philadelphia Flyers, in whose team the Russian goalkeeper planned to spend the 2022/2023 season, announced the extension of the agreement with Fedotov for the 2023/2024 season due to unforeseen circumstances. The Russian Ice Hockey Federation has stressed its insistence on following the IIHF’s strict rules in the matter.
