Washington Capitals forward Alexander Ovechkin said he would invite more teams to his tournament next year.
The fifth tournament for the Alexander Ovechkin Ovi Cup prizes ended on Saturday. The winner was the CSKA team born in 2011, which defeated SKA-Strelna in the final – 7:2. Third place was taken by Yaroslavl Lokomotiv.
– The excitement is huge, you see. The children are happy and that’s the most important thing. After all, everything is done for them. We will try to enlarge the tournament, to invite more teams. It is one of the best tournaments in Russia. Everyone wants to participate. Next season we will not invite 12 teams, but 24. The tournament will last longer, but more interesting, ”reports the correspondent in the words of Ovechkin.
