Canadian defender “Tractor” Robert Hamilton said he would consider getting a Russian passport if he stays in Russia for a long time.
The new KHL season begins on September 1. Hamilton last season took part in 32 regular season games, scored 18 points (3+15). The 29-year-old’s contract with Traktor runs until April 2024.
– It has become popular among KHL legionnaires to make a Russian passport. Have you thought that in the future you might want to become a citizen of the country?
– Let’s see what will happen in the future. Maybe I will play here for a long time. Then you can think of a Russian passport.
— Which Russian cities did you like the most?
– Moscow is a beautiful city. Too bad I didn’t see it well last time. I hope it will work this season. I really liked St Petersburg – beautiful architecture in the city center, we also stayed in a nice hotel, – RB Sport quoted Hamilton as saying.
