Athletistic/Hockey. The CSKA hockey club has issued an official statement on its telegram channel in connection with the decision of the International Ice Hockey Federation. The IIHF has issued an international transfer ban for the army club for next year – until August 10, 2024. Russian goalkeeper Ivan Fedotov has been suspended for four months, until December 31, 2023. This decision will go into effect September 1, the first game day of the new KHL season.

“On August 14, 2023, the CSKA Hockey Club received a notification from the Russian Ice Hockey Federation regarding the sanctions imposed by the International Ice Hockey Federation on our club and our player Ivan Fedotov.

The CSKA hockey club expresses its disagreement with this measure, considers it biased and intends to challenge it before international judicial bodies.

As for CSKA goalkeeper Ivan Fedotov, he is training with the main Minsk team and preparing for the start of the 2023/2024 Continental Hockey League championship, where we will face Ak Bars Kazan.

The management of the CSKA Hockey Club is confident that Ivan will participate in the upcoming season,” the statement read.
