– Our task is to reach the playoffs. We don’t play in the KHL to serve the number. Our team has two tasks: to perform successfully in the regular season and to prepare Chinese hockey players for the national team.
In February the Chinese team will have games, we have almost all the guys involved, so our team will have the toughest schedule than other KHL clubs. Thank you to the league for coming to meet us. The players will be in the national team for about 10 days, and so this season we are expecting matches almost every day. We will play two days in a row, one day off and two more matches.

In the 2022/2023 season, Kunlun failed to qualify for the Gagarin Cup qualifiers, finishing in tenth place in the Western Conference.
