The club’s athletes laid flowers at the memorial in front of the central entrance to the Ufa Arena.
On Monday, Amirov’s death was announced by agent Dan Milstein. In February 2022, Amirov, then 20, was diagnosed with a brain tumor. In April of the same year, the player attended chemotherapy courses.
The forward played 79 KHL games for Salavat Yulaev, scoring 18 points (10+8). He was selected 15th overall by Toronto in the 2020 NHL Draft.
