Front “Tractor” Alexander Sharov shared his emotions after returning to the Chelyabinsk team and spoke about the deceased 21-year-old hockey player Rodion Amirov.
Last season, Sharov played for Amur and played 68 regular season games. Because of the striker 7 goals and 11 assists.
– You are a student of the club, a player who, let’s say, left his comfort zone and went to the Far East. How did you go through these two seasons?
– Yes, I survived normally. I liked this stage, it was interesting. However, life has changed dramatically. Now I’m going home. So we arrived at the tournament, only an hour away – a buzz, it’s much easier to tolerate compared to what was there – ten hours. The experience toughened me and the whole family, everyone grew up during that time.
– In terms of hockey, what did you add as a central player, playing for Amur?
– Probably, I was more liberated, there I was allowed more freedom. Three partners? Yes, there were a million of them, so I played with all of them. I managed to try myself for the most part, and so, probably, I gained more confidence during this period.
– How did the possibility of returning to your local team arise?
– After the season, the club contacted an agent and expressed a desire to see me in the team, we talked for a few weeks and immediately signed up, after all, I will play at home. There were other options, but “Tractor” was a priority, it’s my house.
What potential do you see in the team?
He’s tall, I think. bound to reach high. Conference final? This, I think, is the minimum, but in any case the highest goals should be set – the Cup. It’s time, why not? All five are balanced, all players are experienced, who have played, they know what it is, so you just have to go out and do your thing.
– What do you remember of Rodion Amirov, deceased?
— A young boy, mischievous, talented. Played against, was a very strong hockey player. Condolences to the family, this is a great tragedy. In general, unexpected news, they found out only after the tournament. It seems that they took first place, but everything went a bit to nothing,” Metaratings.ru quotes Sharov.
On Monday, the death of Amirov, 21, was reported by officer Dan Milstein. In February 2022, the then 20-year-old hockey player was diagnosed with a brain tumor; in April of the same year, the player underwent chemotherapy courses.
