Forward Kazan “Ak Bars” DMitriy Kagarlitsky says that Rodion Amirov could become a big star of Russian hockey.
Amirov died Monday at the age of 21 in Munich (Germany). In February 2022, it was reported that a student of Salavat Yulaev was diagnosed with a brain tumor. In April of that year, he underwent chemotherapy.
How is the pre-season going? What did Coach Bovi bring?
We will see in the season. Good pre-season, quite difficult, as always. I’m not going to compare, each coach has their own approach. How many have already passed them, in general, everything is more or less the same, somewhere there was more, somewhere less. So, a good pre-season, power, we are preparing for the start of the championship.
How are the newbies doing? We haven’t seen Svechnikov yet.
– Me too, to be honest, because there was a tournament. I saw it in life, but not on the ice. I know the guy is good, talented. Played a lot in the NHL. And, of course, Yashkin and Zhafyarov will help. All of them are good, talented, with high and huge potential, so of course they will help the team.
– What do you remember of Rodion Amirov, deceased?
“To be honest, I still can’t move a bit. We played against each other, he was very young at the time. Certainly a very talented guy. Even the word “was” somehow dare not say the language. This news is a little disturbing. He knew the guy was sick, that he wasn’t well. I was a little unprepared for what was about to happen.
My deepest condolences to family, loved ones, friends and everyone in hockey, lost a very talented guy. I think that would be our real star. Therefore, Russian hockey has lost such talent, – quotes the words of Kagarlitsky “RB Sport”.
