“The reason for what happened was the mistakes of the CSKA management and the actions of the hockey player’s agent. This issue should have been resolved not now, but in the spring. I believe that in this whole situation, the player himself suffered the he could occupy a leading position in the KHL. Of course, this would imply a resolution of the situation in the spring, because Ivan had to miss some time for well-known reasons. Why did they decide to discover everything only in August?
In my opinion, Philadelphia did not need Fedotov so urgently, and I think that this American team could be negotiated in such a way that Fedotov spent the season with CSKA, then the army club and Philadelphia could deciding who more the keeper needed. As for discussions about the need to leave the IIHF, my answer is clear – no, otherwise players will start to leave their KHL clubs in droves.
