former captain “Chicago Blackhawks” in the National Hockey League (NHL ) Jonathan Toews announced that he had taken a break from his career.
In April, the 35-year-old Canadian striker played his last game for the Hawks, but so far there has been no word on his plans for the 2023/2024 season.
– I want to say that I am not leaving hockey at all, but I will take a break in the next season.
I still love hockey and want to compete at the highest level. However, the last two seasons have been very difficult because I had health problems. I need time to recover and enjoy life to the fullest again,” Toews wrote on social media.
Toews has spent his entire career in Chicago, where he won the Stanley Cup three times. The hockey player is also a world champion and two-time Olympic champion, twice won the youth world championship and once the World Cup.
