Goalkeeper Khudobin – on furthering his career: “Negotiations are ongoing, I myself have not communicated with the teams”

Ice hockey world champion goalie Anton Khudobin told that he has handed over the situation with the search for a team to his representatives, as he continues to prepare for the season in Krasnoyarsk.

Khudobin is a free agent. The 37-year-old Russian’s last club was the Chicago Blackhawks. Previously, he played for the Dallas Stars, Boston Bruins, Anaheim Ducks, Carolina Hurricanes, Minnesota Wild and Metallurg Magnitogorsk. He has 260 regular NHL games under his belt, as well as 27 Stanley Cup games.

‘I’m still in Krasnoyarsk. Now I go in stadium uniform, I was on the ice during the day. Sokol went to the tournament, so he skated with the Krasnoyarsk Lynx MHL team.

– From your agent we heard about options in Lada and Dynamo Minsk. To what extent have these negotiations reached the details?

– To be honest, I haven’t spoken to the teams myself. All this was handed over to representatives. There are hockey agents, they do that. Negotiations are ongoing. I do my job. If I was my own agent, I could say more.

– Do we understand why such a goalkeeper is still without a contract at the end of the summer?

We can discuss this topic for a long time. To be honest, I don’t understand. But I do not wonder about this question. I’m just preparing and training, keeping fit and enjoying life in my home country. This is the task I set myself not to eat my head off,” Khudobin said in an interview with .

Khudobin, as part of the Russian national team, won gold and silver at the world championships.
