Ice hockey world champion goalie Anton Khudobin told that after leaving the Dallas Stars he only spoke with the forward Joe Pavelsky noting that he has no plans to return to North America.
Khudobin is a free agent. The 37-year-old Russian’s last club was the Chicago Blackhawks. For Dallas, the goaltender played from 2018 to 2022, reached the Stanley Cup Finals with the team. He has 260 regular NHL games and 27 playoff appearances under his belt.
– Last season, you had a trade from Dallas to Chicago. Can we say that after him they decided to end their career in North America?
– Even before the exchange in Chicago, I knew that I would not go back.
What was it like parting ways with the Stars, the team you reached the Stanley Cup Finals with?
“I didn’t speak to anyone after that. The only one who called me was Pavelski. He wished me luck and thanked me for his help. We agreed that if there are any questions, I can always ask them. He’s a good man. We’re still in touch with him. I wrote to him after he had a nasty first-round Stanley Cup power reception,” Khudobin said in an interview. with .
