Nizhnekamsk “Neftekhimik” entered into trial contracts with defenders Egor Rykov And Nikita Khlystov according to the KHL website.
Last season, 26-year-old Rykov played for Admiral Vladivostok. In total, he played 295 games in the KHL and scored 58 points (5+53). Rykov, as part of SKA St. Petersburg, won the Gagarin Cup. He was selected 132nd overall by the New Jersey Devils in the 2016 NHL Draft.
Khlystov returned to the KHL from Slovak club Presov. Previously he played for Metallurg Magnitogorsk, Traktor Chelyabinsk, Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk, Chinese Kunlun Red Star and Severstal Cherepovets. In total, he has 340 matches and 38 points (9+29) in the league.
The new KHL season kicks off on September 1 with a game between CSKA Moscow and Ak Bars Kazan.
