Canadian striker from Moscow “Dynamo” Eric O’Dell said he was happy to start the new season KHL game against Petersburg S.K.A. .
Dynamo will face SKA on September 2 at home. Last season, the Moscow team lost to Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod in the first round of the Gagarin Cup in six matches.
– A lot of people have very high expectations of Dynamo’s current squad. Is it felt?
– Last season we played good hockey, but now we have become better. So the expectations are different now. We are ready for it.
– Is the Moscow Mayor’s Cup another good test for the team?
We have several new players. Each pre-season game helps us learn together the system by which to play. The closer the season approaches, the more important it is. But now we are looking pretty good.
– Dynamo begins the regular season with a match against SKA…
“It’s really good to start the season with a solid team,” O’Dell told .
O’Dell has played for the Blue & Whites for the past two seasons, played 95 games for the team in the regular season and KHL playoffs, scored 78 (36+42) points. The 33-year-old Canadian became an unrestricted free agent in May and signed a new one-year contract with the club in August.
