Before “Avant-garde » Vladimir Tkachev said that the Omsk club will now play on a different tactic.
Avangard reached the Eastern Conference Finals last season, where they lost to Ak Bars. On Monday, before the match against Neftekhimik (5:4 OT), the players of the Omsk club received the KHL bronze medals. The presentation was held by the Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation Oleg Matytsin.
– Moments of work, we have a new tactic. We get used to it little by little. There should be enough time to be ready for the season.
How have the tactics changed?
– Everything changed.
– Will you now play according to the pattern “1 + 1 + 3”?
– Something similar. But that’s the coach’s setting and we have to stick to it.
– You have already played two matches. Satisfied to have started a normal labor?
– Certainly. Teamwork is completely different. Different speeds, everything is different. Now we have to digest all that and start the season in great shape.
Has the off-season been busy for you?
— Normal summer. I prepared, trained and just waited, – the correspondent reports the words of Tkachev.
Tkachev signed a new three-year contract with Avangard in August, becoming the highest-paid player in the KHL.
The new KHL season kicks off on September 1 with the opening Cup game between CSKA and Ak Bars.
