Athletistic/Hockey. Russian “New York Rangers” goaltender Igor Shesterkin, owner of the Vézina Trophy this season (the best goaltender of the regular season), named the best player in the NHL according to him.

Shesterkin didn’t pick the best Russian forward in the league, Alexander Ovechkin, in his opinion, Edmonton’s Connor McDavid is the best.

“I’m not sure of a good pitch, but I think it’s Sasha Ovechkin. He checked my head once. The best player, in my opinion, is still McDavid. Of course there’s a lot of great players here who are good in their own way, but I think McDavid still stands out among them,” Shesterkin said.
