CSKA did the best selection job in the offseason among all KHL clubs, says Plushev

Former head coach of the Russian national team Vladimir Plushev says that CSKA did the best off-season drafting work of any club in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).

The new KHL season will kick off on September 1 with the Cup opener between CSKA and Ak Bars.

— Which KHL club had the best selection during the offseason? CSKA managed to maintain its composition at 90%. I appreciate that CSKA really made the best selection. They didn’t take the mass character, but they took the players on a one-off basis. They didn’t send 15 to 20 people somewhere and replace them with others. They retained the trend and the psychology of the winners, as well as the spirit that reigned in the team. If someone scored more players there than CSKA, it does not mean that he did a better job of selecting them, – said Legalbet citing Plyushchev.

Last season, CSKA won the Gagarin Cup by beating Ak Bars Kazan 4-3 in the final series.
