“I didn’t expect the goal to come on me” – Dynamo defender Pylenkov on the puck against CSKA

Dynamo Moscow defender Daniel Pylenkov said he did not see his puck dropped against CSKA in the Moscow Mayor’s Cup game and was sure it would be registered as another hockey player.

On Thursday, the traditional pre-season tournament, the Moscow Mayor’s Cup, started. In the first game Dynamo lost to CSKA 2:3. Pylenkov was marked by a dropped puck.

— A difficult match, the opponent moved well. I think we will play better in the future. As for my puck, I didn’t even realize I had thrown it. There (striker Andrey) Nikonov was the happiest, I ask: “You?”, he confirmed. I did not expect the goal to be scored on me, – the correspondent reports Pylenkov’s words.

Pylenkov spent last season with SKA and Severstal. This offseason, the 22-year-old defender was traded from Severstal to Dynamo Moscow. The contract with the Blue and White is for 2 seasons.

The new KHL season will kick off on September 1 with the Cup opener between CSKA and Ak Bars. Dynamo will start the season with a home game against SKA Petersburg on September 2.
