CSKA Moscow striker Vladislav Kamenev said that hockey was unfairly deprived of attention because, in his opinion, it was the number one sport in Russia.
On Thursday, the traditional pre-season tournament, the Moscow Mayor’s Cup, started. In the first game, CSKA beat Dynamo Moscow with the score 3:2. Kamenev scored two goals.
– I am always for the communication with the press. Russian media pay a lot of attention to football, everyone has noticed this for a long time. So we have to come up with new formats. I think hockey is the number one sport in Russia. As our captain said, we need to compare the titles of football players and hockey players, – reports the correspondent, Kamenev’s words.
The new KHL season will kick off on September 1 with the Cup opener between CSKA and Ak Bars.
