Athletistic/Hockey. Commentator of the TV channel “Match TV” Dmitry Guberniev commented on the latest news regarding the possible transfer of American striker Alex Galchenyuk to SKA.
According to Sport24, SKA plans to sign a contract with this hockey player soon.
Guberniev expressed the hope that Galchenyuk, who became a member of the SKA, would respect the laws and regulations applicable to the club’s hockey players. He praised Galchenyuk’s playing qualities and expressed the hope that Galchenyuk would reflect on his past behavior and behave appropriately in Russia, which would benefit Russian sports and especially St. Petersburg hockey. Guberniev also stressed the need to discuss the reputation of Galchenyuk, as well as other athletes such as Promes, Vloot and Boucher, with those who invited them to the team.
He pointed out that the leaders of hockey clubs first of all evaluate the athletic qualities of the player, and the rest is of less importance. Guberniev expressed hope that the SKA leadership will help Galchenyuk adapt to the new conditions and behave accordingly.
Previously, Galchenyuk signed a contract with the Arizona Coyotes, but it was terminated after an accident-related incident. The attacker had a car accident while intoxicated and later became aggressive towards the police. During his career in the National Hockey League (NHL), he played 654 games and scored 354 points (146+208).
