Olympic figure skating champion Alina Zagitova admitted that she doesn’t like it when hockey players fight during the game.

On Sunday, the presentation of the hockey team took place in the village of Leninskoye, near St. Petersburg. S.K.A. for the 2023/24 KHL season, members of the St. Petersburg club also received bronze medals for the previous season. As part of the event, Zagitova took part in a demonstration and held a master class.

– What are your feelings about today’s holidays?

“This is the second year that I have taken part in an event of this magnitude. It’s always a pleasure to be invited to speak here. Therefore, only positive emotions.

– You are a frequent guest at hockey games, especially SKA games. What can you say about your attitude towards this sport?

– I have been saying for a long time that my father is a hockey coach, a former professional hockey player. That is why, since childhood, I have been instilled with the love of hockey.

– Were there “creeps” directly in the game – to ride, play, try on a uniform?

– As a child, I used to go out on the ice with my father and my sister. Dad taught us how to use a club properly, how to circle. It’s very difficult actually. I thought, “No, hockey is definitely not my thing. I just sat on the podium and watched.

– When you sit in the stands, do you enjoy the game of SKA?

– Certainly. I’m always motivated by the game. I don’t like it when they fight on the ice. I wish it was less. But it is interesting and spectacular. All viewers like to watch hockey, ” correspondents report Zagitova’s remarks at the SKA event.

SKA will kick off the KHL regular season on September 2 with an away game against Dynamo Moscow. Last season, the two-time Gagarin Cup winner reached the Western Conference final, where he lost to eventual trophy winners CSKA Moscow.
