Athletistic/Hockey. CSKA head coach Sergei Fedorov responded to an inquiry related to the Russian Ice Hockey Federation’s decision to allow team goalkeeper Ivan Fedotov to participate in KHL matches only from the January 1, 2024.

“Is there a statement from the FHR? I can’t comment, because I haven’t seen official information on their website,” Fedorov said in an interview with the Championship correspondent.

Currently, Fedotov does not have the opportunity to play for his team, as he risks disqualification by the International Ice Hockey Federation until January 1, 2024. Only after this period expires or after decision of the Disciplinary Committee that he will be able to participate in CSKA matches.

Recall that the first match of the new KHL season will be held in Moscow on September 1 at 7:00 p.m. Moscow time at the CSKA-Arena stadium. In this match, the teams of CSKA and Ak Bars of Kazan will meet.
