Russian women’s team moved from fifth to sixth place in the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) rankings, an updated version of which is posted on the organization’s website.
The first and second places are always held respectively by the teams of Canada and the United States. Switzerland closes the top three, Finland is fourth.
The Russian team was overtaken in the standings by the Czech Republic, which now occupies 5th position.
The Russian men’s team continues to occupy the third position, according to the ranking of men’s teams presented earlier by the IIHF.
The IIHF extended the suspension of Russia and Belarus from international tournaments for the 2023/24 season at the end of March.
