‘Now, apparently, it’s the fashion. We play, we try to create chances and score. The team that wins the Cup does not think about its creativity. Everyone’s job is to win, and it doesn’t really matter how you do it.
— Is the defensive style of Lokomotiv true or rather a stereotype?
– We try to play five in attack and five in defense. We don’t separate attackers from defenders and we help each other. We try to dominate in all areas. Maybe that’s why it feels like defensive hockey, says Andronov according to RB Sport.
The new KHL season begins September 1. Lokomotiv will start on September 3 with a home game against Torpedo.
