Double world champion Nikolai Yerdev will continue his career in the second division of the Italian championship, the 38-year-old hockey player has signed a contract with the Alleghe team, reports the club’s press service.
Last year he played in the Belarusian championship (Youth and Molodechno) and was tried at Dynamo Minsk.
Zherdev is a double world champion (2009, 2012) with the Russian national team.
In 2003, Zherdev was drafted by the Columbus NHL club in the first round as No. 4 overall. In total, the forward played 436 NHL games with Columbus, Rangers and Philadelphia, in which he scored 264 (116+148) points.
In addition, the Russian has a wealth of playing experience in the KHL, where the striker defended the colors of Atlanta, Ak Bars, Spartak, Severstal, Dynamo Moscow, HC Sochi, Torpedo, Neftekhimik and Riga “Dynamo”.
