Director General of Moscow “Dynamo” Sergei Sushko believes that the team’s defender Brennan Menell can play for the Russian team.
In July, 26-year-old American Menell was granted Russian sports citizenship and lost his KHL Legionnaire status.
– Menell has been playing in the KHL for several seasons. He really loves Moscow, he really loves Russia and our culture. It is good that it was possible to provide him with a passport. First of all, we don’t have a legionnaire, but a quality player. We’re glad it worked.
He has no obstacle to play for the Russian team, he does not play for the USA. If his level of skill and dedication is right for national team coaches, then he will be called up.
