Athletistic/Hockey. Kontinental Hockey League President Alexei Morozov said he is confident that the KHL’s decision to allow goaltender Ivan Fedotov to participate in matches will not lead to a deterioration in relations with the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF).

Previously, the IIHF suspended Fedotov for a period of four months, effective September 1, due to a breach of contract with the Philadelphia club of the NHL.

Alexei Morozov stressed that whether Barys and Dynamo Minsk will leave the KHL after the decision is not subject to speculation. He stressed the importance of respecting the laws of the Russian Federation and expressed his readiness to continue adhering to this policy. Morozov also claims that this decision will not affect the deterioration of relations with the IIHF and other hockey federations.
