Forward Kazan “Akbarsa » Vadim Shipachev shared his emotions over setting the KHL record for most assists in league history.
On Friday, in the opening game of the KHL, Kazan defeated CSKA with the score 5:2. Shipachev scored the puck and provided an assist that was his 600th in the league. The 36-year-old hockey player became the first player in KHL history to achieve such a feat.
– 600 assists in the KHL is a good number. It’s good to know that. I want to thank the guys with whom I played for scoring with my passes, – the correspondent reports Shipachyov’s words.
Sergey Mozyakin (509) is second in assists in KHL games, and Ak Bars forward Alexander Radulov is third (430).
