This disqualification began on September 1, 2023 (i.e. with the start of CSKA’s regular season) and will last until December 31, 2023.

In addition, the IIHF imposed an international transfer ban on hockey club CSKA for one season, effective August 11, 2023.

Despite these sanctions, Ivan Fedotov participated in CSKA’s regular season game against Ak Bars on September 1, 2023. This resulted in a violation of the IIHF decision and Fedotov’s case will be referred to the IIHF Disciplinary Board in accordance with the IIHF Disciplinary Code.

In addition, since CSKA and the Russian Hockey Federation (RHF) cleared Fedotov to play without a valid transfer, as provided for in the International Transfer Regulations, the IIHF will impose a fine of CHF 5,000 on the RHF for having authorized a player to play without transfer. transfer. In the event of Fedotov’s continued involvement without a valid transfer, the IIHF will refer the matter to the IIHF Disciplinary Board, which has the power to impose additional sanctions against all parties involved, including Ivan Fedotov, CSKA and FHR.
