Khudobin, 37, made his Russian championship debut in the 2004/2005 season at Magnitogorsk Metallurg. Then he went to North America. In 2010, Khudobin made his NHL debut for the Minnesota Wild.

He then played in the NHL for the Boston Bruins, Carolina Hurricanes, Anaheim Ducks, Boston Stars, Dallas Stars and Chicago Blackhawks. In 2014, as part of the Russian national team, the goalkeeper became world champion.
