The Avalanches defeated last year’s champions Tampa Bay in the final series of the National Hockey League.
The National Hockey League has a new champion. The hegemony of Tampa Bay, which has won the Stanley Cup for two consecutive seasons, has been delayed by Colorado. Moreover, it made an “avalanche”, beating the club from Florida in the final.
It will be recalled that “lightning” was able to beat an opponent at a distance and hoped they could match the score in the series already on the home court. However, it turned out to be the opposite. In Tampa, at Amalie Arena, in the sixth game of the final series of playoffs, the guests won.
Note that the hosts opened up scoring in the match, already scoring in the fourth minute. But in the second period, Colorado scored twice and the Lightning were never given a chance to recover.
The Avalanches are 2-1 to win their first Stanley Cup since 2001. Also note that Denver has won all three of the last series in which they participated. In 1996, Florida was beaten.
