Sports Director of Togliatti “Freights” Rafik Yakubov disagreed with the statement that the career of a hockey player Sergei Shumakov on the way to completion.
This summer, the 31-year-old striker signed a contract with the Togliatti club.

Shumakov played for Traktor Chelyabinsk and Dynamo Minsk last season in the KHL. In the regular season, he played 29 games, scored two goals and gave three assists, the hockey player played one game in the playoffs.
Previously, Shumakov defended the colors of CSKA, Avangard Omsk, Sibir Novosibirsk and Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg.
