Kiev Trizub will take part in the Ukrainian Hockey Championship in the 2023/24 season

The general manager of the club Yevhen Zyk also named the players who have already joined the team

Kyiv hockey club trident will take part in Championship and Cup of Ukraine in the 2023/24 season.

Evgeny Zyk became the general manager of the new club. Tryzub will be headed by a former player of the Ukrainian national team and ex-coach of the youth teams of the Kherson Dnieper Oleg Timchenko.

“Trident is not a one-day project. We have sponsorship contracts with some partners for five to ten years. In the future, we plan to launch a children’s and youth school under Tryzub, create a new one, and not take over the existing one.

Trizub will feature several players who played in HC Kyiv last season. Among the hockey players of the new club are goalkeeper Vladislav Vyazovov, defender Mikhail Vasilyev, forwards Taras Bega, Vitaly Shvachka, Evgeny Timchenko.

Trizub became the sixth participant in national competitions. Earlier it was reported that five teams confirmed their participation in the Ukrainian Cup: Sokol, Kremenchuk, Dnipro, Kharkiv Berserki, Kyiv Capitals.

The new hockey season in Ukraine starts on September 13 in Kremenchug with matches for the Ukrainian Cup. The base date for the start of the national championship is September 27.
