Forward “Tampa” Perry set an anti-NHL record, losing the third Stanley Cup Final with three different clubs

The Tampa Bay Lightning lost 1-2 to the Colorado Avalanche in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

The Avalanche won the series 4-2 on aggregate to win the Stanley Cup.

Forward “Tampa” Corey Perry became the first player in NHL history to lose three Stanley Cup Finals with three different clubs. The 37-year-old forward in 2020, as part of Dallas, lost in the Finals to Tampa, and in 2021, while playing for Montreal, he also lost to the Lightning.

In 2007, he won the Stanley Cup with Anaheim.

Colorado won the Stanley Cup for the third time in its history.
