In the 15th minute, Nikita Grebenkin gave Magnitka the lead. Alexey Maklyukov and Danil Gololobov acted as assistants. Just a minute and a half later, Luke Johnson doubled Metallurg’s lead. This goal was Johnson’s debut at the new club. Egor Korobkin and Semyon Koshelev were responsible for the assists. In the 38th minute, Vyacheslav Leshchenko reduced the lead, but Salavat Yulaev could not save the match.
Thanks to this victory, Metallurg scores nine points and becomes the sole leader of the championship.
Note that before the match, a flag-raising ceremony was held in memory of Salavat student Rodion Amirov, who died on August 14 due to a brain tumor.
