Athletistic/Hockey. The Boston Bruins have unveiled the Historic 100, a list of the 100 most iconic players in team history, selected by independent journalists, media representatives, historians and members of the hockey community.

This list includes the club’s former striker Sergei Samsonov. Recall that he received the Calder Trophy for the best NHL rookie in the 1997/1998 season, playing for Boston. He also played in the 2001 NHL All-Star Game and won a bronze medal at the 2002 Olympics. He was selected by Boston in the first round of the 1997 NHL Entry Draft and played for the club from 1997 to 2006.

Current players on the Historic 100 include Milan Lucic, Brad Marchand, Charlie McAvoy and David Pastrnak.

From this list, an independent commission will select 20 players (12 forwards, 6 defensemen, 2 goaltenders) who will form the Boston Bruins all-time team.
