President of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) Alexey Morozov said the KHL is considering the possibility of holding an exhibition match in Mongolia in April.
On Thursday, September 14, the KHL board of directors met in Moscow.
— Is it true that Spartak will play two league matches in Tashkent? And that the KHL will go to Mongolia for matches?
— We are in contact with the Ministry of Sports of Mongolia. They are stakeholders. But it’s still far away. And you must follow all regulations in order to host a scheduled KHL championship game. This is why we proposed to consider an exhibition match in April: the clubs which will not participate in the playoffs will play.
There is no official information about Spartak. “We do not comment on rumors and conversations,” reports a correspondent, reporting Morozov’s words.
