Athletistic/Hockey. The Kontinental Hockey League announced that the 2023 KHL All-Star Game will be held in St. Petersburg at the new SKA Arena on December 9-10. This massive event will feature the best players and coaches in the league. This will be the first major event for this ice complex, which can accommodate 21,500 spectators.

The SKA Arena, located on Yuri Gagarin Avenue, is symbolically associated with the theme of space, which is manifested in the design of the facade, interiors and other details. The rink can adapt to all parameters of modern hockey, and the first row of stands will hang from the sides, immersing the spectator in the game. The pre-match show promises to be spectacular thanks to the largest media cube of Europe and the 3D projection technology will cover all surfaces of the arena.

For the first time, the KHL All-Star Game was held in St. Petersburg in February 2011 at the Ice Palace, filled to capacity with fans. Hockey is particularly popular in this city – matches of the local team SKA always attract full stands. It is no coincidence that the KHL attendance record was set here: on December 22, 2018, the match between SKA and CSKA at the football stadium was attended by 66,770 spectators,” the league said in a press release published on the official website of the KHL.
