Head coach of SKA Romain Rotenberg explained why he received a minor fine for unsportsmanlike behavior during the Fonbet KHL championship match against Sibir.

On Sunday, the St. Petersburg team lost on their own ice with a score of 1:2. In the last minute of the first period, St. Petersburg forward Brendan Laipsik found himself on the ice, next to the Sibir bench. Returning to the SKA bench, the striker began to express his dissatisfaction with the referees. The referees then stopped the match, ejecting Laipsik for two minutes for unsportsmanlike conduct. During the same break, SKA received two extra minutes as a team penalty – for unsportsmanlike behavior by the SKA coach.
