Athletistic/Hockey. International Hockey Federation President Luc Tardif commented on the continued performance of Russian CSKA goaltender Ivan Fedotov in Kontinental Hockey League matches. After the first KHL match, the IHF warned that the goalkeeper’s next appearances on the ice would be referred to the disciplinary committee. Despite this, Fedotov played three more matches.

“The fact that Fedotov plays more matches does not change the fact that FHR, CSKA and the player himself violated the IIHF transfer rules and did not fulfill their contractual obligations from the moment he played his second match for the team. We are “They are waiting for a meeting of the disciplinary board before making any statements. They act as an independent body and set their own deadlines,” Tardif told TASS.

Recall that in the summer of 2023, the IHF disqualified Fedotov for four months because he signed a contract with CSKA, despite the existing agreement with the Philadelphia Flyers.
