Governor of the Kemerovo region Sergei Tsivilev told that he is waiting for the latest laws to ensure that the Kuznetsk Metalworkers’ Arena in Novokuznetsk meets all requirements before it is put into operation.
The Kuznetsk Metalworkers’ Arena was opened in February after large-scale reconstruction. However, the current VHL “Metallurg” championship began in the reserve palace “Kuznetsky Ice”. At the end of August, Novokuznetsk Mayor Sergei Kuznetsov announced that the remaining fire safety problems in the arena had been resolved.
— Our palace will meet all the requirements of KHL regulations and will be able to host any competition at the international level. We have already completed the reconstruction, the final details remain for the commissioning of the installation. Fire safety has also been adopted, I am waiting for the latest reports on compliance with all requirements. A KHL inspection has already arrived, checked compliance with league rules and made some minor comments. “Metallurg” will play at home this fall,” Tsivilev told the correspondent.
