Russian striker “Torpedo” Vasily Atanasov spoke about his idols among hockey players.
Atanasov played in all eight games at the start of the Fonbet KHL Championship season, scoring five goals and four assists.
— You are a student in Nizhny Tagil. Were there any idols among your compatriots? Sochnikov or Radulov? Maybe Pasha Dorofeev? But he is much younger.
— Pasha and I went together. My father trained him. And then his father trained me in St. Petersburg. And I know him personally. A very nice and good guy. My childhood idols have always been Valery Kharlamov and Pavel Datsyuk. “Two hockey icons,” Metaratings.ru quotes Atanasov.
After eight games in the current KHL regular season, Torpedo leads the Western Conference standings with 13 points, one point ahead of its closest pursuers.
