Athletistic / Hockey. Sochi forward Michal Krystof spoke about the Slovak Hockey Federation’s decision to remove all hockey players playing in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) from the national team.
“Of course it’s bad news. You always want to represent your country. Throughout my career, no matter where I played, I happily joined the national team when I was called up “It’s a great honor, as a child, everyone dreams of representing their country. But all that, it’s not me who makes the decisions… My job is to play hockey.
I don’t know if that’s fair or not. Now I just have to accept this situation,” Championship quotes Krishtof.
Michal Krystof joined the KHL in the summer of 2022, signing a contract with Admiral. As part of the Far East team, the 29-year-old Slovak played 46 matches and scored 30 (7+23) points thanks to the goal+pass system. Last summer he signed a contract with Sochi. This season in the KHL, Krishtof played nine matches, scored three goals and provided six assists.
