Athletistic/Hockey. CSKA goaltender Ivan Fedotov has expressed his thoughts on the possibility of joining the National Hockey League (NHL). After the end of the 2021/2022 season, the goaltender signed a one-year contract with the Philadelphia Flyers. Later that year he was drafted into the army. After returning, Fedotov signed a two-year contract with CSKA. However, the NHL says the goaltender is still under contract with Philadelphia.

“Do I think I’ll ever end up in the NHL – if not in Philadelphia, then maybe on another team? Time will tell. I think I have many more years of playing time ahead of me. I’m not haunted by injuries. What It will happen tomorrow – no one knows. My task now is to return to my level as quickly as possible. And then – I have a contract, I have obligations, and after we’ll see.

Two years have already passed and then, who knows, maybe there will be an NHL, maybe not. Maybe the KHL will cease to exist. All kinds of factors can come into play. Maybe they will offer some kind of additional service in the long term, who knows,” Fedotov said on Mayak radio.
