Finnish president no longer wants to play hockey with Putin

Finnish President Sauli Niinistö has said he will no longer play hockey with the Russian President Vladimir Poutine .

The leader of Finland was asked to comment on a photo in which he plays hockey with Putin. The hockey match took place in St. Petersburg in 2012.

— Sharing a long common border with Russia, we have to solve everyday problems, for example maritime transport. In addition, there are families with parents of both nationalities. Simply put, Russia was not a partner, but a neighbor to be reckoned with. However, I would no longer play hockey with Putin,” the Finnish president was quoted as saying by La Repubblica.

Putin plays in the Night Hockey League, founded on his initiative on December 15, 2011.
