Kriklya scored two assists
In the opening match Ukrainian hockey championship season 2023/24 Dnieper beat on the road Kyiv Capitals – 3:1.
The guests from Kherson managed to open the scoring at the very end of the first period. In the middle of the second, the Kievans equalized, but the parity did not last long. Ilya Krikli’s second assist in a row allowed the guests to convert the majority and take the lead again. In the end, Valentin Aleksyuk consolidated Dnepr’s advantage in the score.
This match took place in the Kiev Sports Palace. The first round match between Sokol and Kharkov Berserkers will later start in the same arena (starts at 18:00). Tomorrow, October 2, Trizub and Kremenchug will also meet in the capital.
Before the start of the new championship, the 2023 Ukrainian Cup was played. Kremenchuk beat Sokol in the final, winning the trophy for the first time in history. Dnepr in Group A first lost to Sokol in shootouts, and then beat Trizub. The Kyiv Capitals, in turn, were unable to leave Group B – the capital club first defeated the Kharkov Berserkers and then lost to Kremenchuk.
