Russian goalie of the NHL club “Columbus Blue Jackets » Daniel Tarasov may not have time to recover between now and the start of the season due to a knee injury suffered before the start of training camp, The Athletic reports.
“At the moment, we do not have a timeline for Tarasov’s injury; this work is still ongoing. “We just want to make sure that we don’t have to start the season with a lack of quality goalkeepers who have experience and can play in the NHL,” said Columbus general manager Jarmo Kekalainen.
Last season, Tarasov, 24, played 17 games in the NHL regular season, reflecting 89.2% of shots with a safety factor of 3.91.
In the first game of the new season, Columbus will play at home against Philadelphia on October 12.
