Yegor Romanov has had a long history of trouble with the United States law enforcement system.
In the United States, an unusual episode occurred in a match in one of the hockey divisions. As The Tribune-Democrat reported, during a break in a match in the NAHL, the second strongest junior league, a player was arrested during the match.
It happened the day before, on October 1, in an NAHL meeting between the Johnstown Tomahawks and the New Hampshire Mountain Kings. Police arrived at the Cambria County War Memorial Arena, where the fight took place, and took one of the “Kings” hockey players straight from the bench to the police station. It happened in front of 1,550 fans.
The criminal turned out to be Belarusian hockey player Yegor Romanov. As the journalists found out, the 20-year-old defender of Belarus has previously had problems with the law, and he was arrested “in connection with an outstanding arrest warrant in New Kensington, Pennsylvania.”
A representative of the aggressor country, who then played for the Pittsburgh club Esmark Stars, committed “aggravated assault in a vehicle.” Interestingly, at this time he was studying at Central Catholic High School.

Now he faces a real sentence. Local police are yet to provide details. Let’s add that this season the Belarusian Romanov has played four games in the NAHL. He did not distinguish himself in any effective action, but earned only a two-minute penalty.
We remind you that earlier a car was stolen from the famous Russian boxer Sergei Kovalev in the USA.
