The head coach “Vityaz” Alexander Zavialov left the post of head coach of the Moscow region team, the press service of the hockey club reports.
It should be noted that the 53-year-old specialist resigned of his own free will. Alexey Tertyshny, who is already part of the Vityaz headquarters, will act as head coach.
“HC Vityaz thanks Alexander Vasilyevich Zavyalov for his work and wishes him success,” the club’s statement said.
“Vityaz” under the leadership of Zavyalov scored 5 points in 13 matches of the Fonbet KHL championship. The team is in 11th place in the Western Conference standings.
Zavyalov has been working at the club since 2022 and in May 2023 he was appointed to the position of head coach. Previously he worked at Nizhny Novgorod Torpedo, Kazan Ak Bars, Chelyabinsk Traktor, Nizhnekamsk Neftekhimik and Khabarovsk Amur.
