President of the Russian Hockey Federation (RFH) Vladislav Tretiak declared that the creation of the team “Russia 25 ” made it possible to draw attention to young athletes, as well as to unite the inhabitants of the regions which hosted the matches of this team.
In May, the Russia 25 team, led by Roman Rotenberg, toured along the route Chelyabinsk – Astana – Krasnoyarsk – Tula – Minsk, where they played friendly matches with the national teams of Belarus and Kazakhstan.
— One of the major projects that we managed to implement is “Russia 25”, because we must preserve our youth. They all want to go to the NHL. There are two objectives of this project. First: young people see that we pay attention to them, second: when did the national team play in Krasnoyarsk? Never. These tournaments bring people together,” reports a correspondent, according to Tretiak.
On October 2 and 3, the forum “Games of chance: contributions to sport” will take place in Moscow. The channel acts as media partner of the event.
